Swindon Spitfires is one of the oldest Women's and Girls' Football Club in the country and the first in Wiltshire to receive the F.A Charter Standard. Spitfires is the first and original women's and girls' football club in Swindon formed in 1967 it achieved the Regional Charter Standard Award in 2005 and the County Charter Standard Award in 2004, 2005, 2009 and 2017. Soccer Excellence has been established since September 2006 and we have been running after school clubs and fun days throughout this period expanding every year. As a company we offer a variety of options for all your Footballing needs from after school clubs, Fun days, Birthday parties to Elite and team training sessions. New College Swindon Football Academy provides both academic and sporting excellence delivered by highly qualified FA coaches. This programme offers inclusive football programmes for both boys and girls. The Boys Football Academy is aimed at students aged 16-19 that have come from a strong footballing background and wish to progress within the sport. The Girls Football Academy is aimed at a wider range of participants from beginner to experienced players within the same age category. The Football Academy is unique in its offering. We encourage all of our players to follow the Academic pathway that is most suited to their career ambitions. This can be an A Level Pathway or Vocational Qualification at all levels. We also offer the unique opportunity to re-take your Maths or English alongside your playing and education pathway. The Boys Academy have 2 teams entered in the AOC Championship leagues playing on Wednesday afternoons with training throughout the week which will also include gym sessions and analysis sessions. The Girls programme is continuing to develop with opportunities to train up to 2 hours per week. The Girls Academy will now be entered into the AOC regional league where we aim to continue to increase the participation of Girls Football. All Academy teams will be entered into regional and national cup competitions where possible.
